"Lejos de Casa" is a documentary that compiles different testimonies of young people who, due to the violence that constantly exists in their places of origin, are forced to leave their country in search of security and peace; however, this dream is interrupted when they reach the border where a great wall of intolerance awaits them.

The shelters in the border areas of Mexico play a very important role for the development of minors, because while they wait they create friendships, continue taking classes and their families can locate them and be aware of their situation as migrants, they also receive advice to be able to assert their rights both inside and outside of Mexican territory.
