Under The Influence

Made for a film school assignment that required a real documentary, the filmmakers instead created a fake documentary disguised as nonfiction, successfully fooling their professor.

The film takes place over the course of a drunken night, in which an alcoholic man and his drinking companion speak with the filmmakers about addiction, drifting between painful memories, absurd stories, humor, and contradictions, until the line between confession and performance begins to disappear.
